Any strong FM suggestions...?

Hello Folks,

I've been away for far, FAR too long.

After downloading The Dark Mod and watching the PS4 preview of Thief 4, my blood got stirred for some authentic Thief action. Don't misread my statement. I haven't tried any TDM missions yet, and Thief 4's preview left me...cold. I'm struggling with why they're "reimagining" Garrett and his world, as it was nearly perfect as is, but that's a whole other topic.

Checking my profile, the last date indicator that I have of being here was sometime in 2008 (!). :o :tsktsk:

Yeah, I'm ashamed of myself.

So, I'm looking for some advice for some of "The" BEST missions and campaigns that have been released during 2008 and afterward. I'm interested in all recommendations for the entire franchise, including The Dark Mod.

Please be specific enough to identify the name of the FM along with the game it was made for, so that I can more easily locate it. If you want to be very forgiving of this prodigal son, you could also supply the download link to the mission, but that's not necessary.

To this day, one of The Best missions that I've ever played for any game ever, was Mission X. Man, every single detail was just brilliant. I've contributed to the Misery 2.0 mod for STALKER, Call of Pripyat, and I strongly advised them to try Mission X out. Well, anyway, if you'd like to supply a few sentences as to why you love your recommendations so, I'd be happy to read them.

First, patch your Thief Gold and Thief 2 installations to NewDark using the TafferPatcher and TFix installers!

Then, for Thief 2, there is the NewDark version of Sensut's great Bathory campaign, I really loved this.
Sturmdrang Peak is a solid campaign with several missions and a piratey theme that has been released this year. Recommended.
While we're at campaigns, 2012's The Black Frog by gaetane has been very well recieved by the community. Try it!
Then there is the mission Bones: Episode One: The Old Quarter from 2012, which is very good.

For Thief Gold, there are skacky's missions - all of them! They all manage to perfectly catch that Thief 1 atmosphere!
The recently released The Widow's Ire by stinkykitty is probably the best fan mission I've played in a long time, and it was a real surprise by a new author. You just have to play that one! It is a small 2-mission-campaign.

For The Dark Mod, I can recommend In The North, which is the best DarkMod mission to date, very large and varied.
The recently released Requiem is also amazing, very varied locations and gameplay.

Those should be enough to get you started!

THANK YOU for the suggestions.

I've already tried to experience some of them for The Dark Mod, but have sadly discovered that once I reload the FM, the game can't load the file and tells me so via an Error Message it displays. It's done this for "In the North" as well as for "Requiem." Any advice on how to fix this, or is this a well known bug that's being worked on, or...?

This is a bug with TDM 2.0, you must have TDM installed in a folder called "darkmod" otherwise missions with custom scripts (like Requiem and In the North) won't load saves or sometimes even run at all.
