This guy is just trolling for a response. Glad he hasn't had any acknowledgment from the authors.

I think it's rather impressive that dedicated authors spend their unpaid time on crafting the largest ever made campaign for the oldest title in the Thief series. We have had some really good and large Thief 2 campaigns, but no such thing has ever been done for Thief 1 (and with specific Thief 1 atmosphere and design in mind). It is understandable that some people (who are either impatient, very excited, or both) might prefer a different way of communicating with the fans, with a greater quantity of small sneak peaks and updates. However, I do believe and trust the authors that their choice of not giving further updates until final release is indeed something that will create a better effect and impression in the long run. There is a lot of value in delayed gratification.

It's a 10 mission campaign, that's huge and that means it requires a massive amount of time to build, fix, beta test, make amendments and then check everything all over again, but if you had made even a small mission you would understand that. It will be released when the authors are completely happy with their work, not before, and certainly not under any duress from those who wish to bully them in to releasing it before it is ready.
Let's not overblow it. It was started in 2016, not a year ago. It has been worked on by a team of people. A comparable project would be T2x. It took 5 years. We're getting close to 7, so it's more than logical to expect the release any day now. Everyone is grateful for the work that is being done here but it's also normal to expect people wanting to hear more than "it's coming when it's coming", since so much time has passed. Radio silence doesn't help either.

Keep in mind that during this time frame team members also worked on their individual projects and had real life responsibilities.

Also keep in mind nobody owes you anything and acting like you're entitled to some sort of marketing hype train is not a good look.

Now you're starting to sound more like a bit of a jerk rather than an overeager fan.

There is little comparison between TBP and T2X apart from them both being big campaigns.
60 authors were involved in making T2X and they built that campaign via Olddark, meaning much smaller missions, less complex ones with a lot fewer custom objects , terrain and textures etc, not to say simpler scripting. TBP has 5/6 core authors building missions, the T2X team could only dream of what Feuillade Industries have done.

It's been a while since I've played T2X. So long that I don't remember anything about it and that's nearly as good as having a new campaign.
