Been a bad girl sometimes, never been caught. That's all I'm allowed to say. :sly:

heh, used to snag candy as an early teen occasionally at a local discount store...wasn't that poor, just loved the rush....I even stole a "Thunderbirds" $15 shotglass right off of the stand during an airshow. how fucking stupid I was, gambling with my future like that:(, just got lucky I guess, that glass still sits atop my TV as a reminder that I was given a second chance when 100's of people could've seen me
edit: fuckit i'm bored here's the loot!

During two internships at school, after having played thief 1 and 2 for first times, I got taken advantage of.. and decided to get back at the sod's, so I stole quite a number of things :P
However, the biggest heist I've ever done was at a monitored room in a server hall where they had stored some pretty neat hardware, which I knew hadn't been tagged yet. After casing the place for a week, I realized that a) people just shoved NEW gear in there, and b) nobody really had any idea how much of what was in said location. However.. the place was monitored via cameras, so after another week of inconspicuous casing (I made sure to take any excuse to go down there) I had nailed down where the cameras were positioned and where their FOVs were intersecting.
Now, my boss at that place was a TOTAL fuckwad, not only did he make me work overtime alone, but he also expected me to cover for him when he vanished the rest of the day after lunch.. but what really made me go "alright, time to get me some compensation" was when I called in sick one day and that rat bastard called up my school rep to whine about it, and she called ME to complain about it.
So .. one late day when I was forced to work overtime... when most of the people in said server area had gone home (friday no less!) I went down there, carefully avoided all cameras and stole quite a bunch of computer hardware which I put into a backpack which I had made sure everybody had seen me pull and push a jacket into multiple times.. .. so I stuffed the hardware stuff I had already picked out as "mine" into said backpack and just casually strolled out of the front of the place... I remember even talking with the cute receptionist about something, every second realizing that corp security could running out of some door, busting me for possibly missing a hidden camera or two...
So yeah, I really know how close the thief games manage to mimic that emotion you get when you're actually doing something that could get you into heaps of trouble :P

wow I'm probably the biggest criminal here easily, cept my little hero above me that is.... Keep in mind i was 16 at the time and the bastards deserved it... Got a job as a technician at a local computer repair and retail store, they only paid me 5.15 an hour (minimum wage) soon I came to realize I knew more than the "adult (see legal adult versus maturity adult) techs were making over 20$/hr... naturally I was miffed, I also discovered that the owner was a crook and cheating on his taxes, so I shaved about 4 gigs of ram (back in 2002) 1.2 TB worth of HDD and about 9 althon XP procs off thier hands over the course of 2 months, they didn't keep track of thier inventory and it was easy, left before I got caught, cited schoolwork as my reason...
Looking back, cheating a cheat wasn't cool... but damn it felt good.
I'd never do it again tho.

What I love about this sort of thread is that those with the kind of stories most of you would love to hear will never respond. The net just ain't the place for that sort of talk.
Who'd confess a real sin here? Only a fool.:sly:

Ya know, I bet the person who stole the paintings is gonna get caught because some stupid person who he sold it to showed it off somewhere.

I've never outright stolen things from other people that were worth more than about $5 US, but I have conned people out of several possessions.
Guess I've got good charisma, and I don't even know it! :cheeky:
