I know with the Sims/Sims2 people constantly find themselves reacting or saying something in the manner of a Sim. I have found a few quotes from Thief that have managed to sneak their way into my thought patterns and everday speaking.
I have two at the moment that apply so much that I catch myself thinking or saying them without even realizing it.
Whenever someone does something particularly foolish around me, I find myself thinking "Please be warned - A misguided soul..."
In learning how to use Dromed2, I find myself thinking "Fails to understand" about 30 times a second, lol. I also quote that whenever someone is unclear about something.
Anyone else have any Thief quotes that snuck into their everyday communications?

There are a few quotes that are quite good, especially "The essence of balance is detachment..."
and
"He who keeps his work in disorder gives home to chaos..."
but I can't imagine saying them in real life without sounding like a bit of a prick.

You're only worried about looking like a prick? How about a religious zealot who constantly refers to a mysterious "builder"? Or just a freak who talks to himself/herself? Or maybe just really awkward...:erg:

i say "how's it goin'?" you know, like that one patroling outside guard that can see you anywhere within ten feet of himself in the first level of thief dark project
other than that...no

What? Does no one even use variations of Taffer in real life?

"Inside at last..." frequently pops into my head when I enter a building.

I'm frequently whistling or humming like the guards in T1 :)

I use "taffer" as my Live Journal name. I would've used it in City of Heroes, too, but someone already had a hero named Taffer.
