So, it's about 101 degrees here in NY. I'm between jobs at the moment. So I have some time to kill (excuse the phrasing).
Singularity looks fun. Some reviews make it sound pretty great, others not so much. But I trust you guys (mostly), anyone give it a try? I'm looking for first hand accounts here.

Yep.
It borrows a lot from Bioshock and less from Fallout 3. The combat skills are pretty unique, which makes the game a decent shooter with a specific flavor. Some skills are overpowered and by the end, you can kill almost anything without weapons. The characters in the game are few but decent, however the story is weak or it's presentation is weak. The game has 3 endings and it took me like 7h to finish it. Performance is good and visually is exceptional in certain moments. In the end, I would not recommend the game, but it's a nice way to kill some time.
Free tip: Use the shotgun.

so it doesn't sound like it's worth 60 bucks....maybe like 30 someday?
I read, or rather viewed, an online review where the critic said he completed the game in about 7 hours as well and wanted to go back immediately to play it again. Did you have a similar experience? I'm kinda getting that you didn't. That was the review that got me psyched on the game. A game can be linear as hell, poorly written, and look dated, but if I wanna go back and play it again right after beating it, I mean that trumps all else.

Oh, it's out? Right on time, with all that hype they created... uh... over a year ago

no full price ! but it's decent, has nice atmosphere but all in all comes out as a lesser version of above mentioned games. (bioshock, even Metro2033) Shame, the time powers are nice and some encounters are pretty good but they did not have the time or commitment to go the extra mile. For me it was too easy and some enemies too stupid and predictable. For such a short game it also takes ages to get to the time manip device and then another few levels to get all the powers. But at this time the game is no challenge anymore since they give you one overpowered ability after the other. I would have liked to see enemies use time as well and less being able to spam the time bubble which is like a godmode switch. 2 levels more with more enemy variety would have made thegame much better. another thing is the spawn triggers which makes replay rather boring, a free-roaming AI would have made this much better.
Normally time-manipulation-shooters are pretty bad so this was a nice surprise.

No, it's linear and one run is enough to see everything. And what mothra said.
Just one more remark, the game has a unique atmosphere but it feels like a compilation from other games: gravity gun from HL2, enemies from Gears of War, deadlock as VATS from Fallout3, recorded messages from Bioshock, weapons from MW2 and others.

couldn't agree more. hl2/mw comparison is spot on. but I'd rather have 'em steal there than from halo.

Yeah and it's bunch of Bioshocks as usual.
I must say that I'm rather meh about replaying the game, and that's a pretty bad sign. And I can't even put my finger on why to be honest. It's just that, everything in the game seems to be almost good, but never is and after you play it once and the wowzors factor is gone it just seems bland somehow.
In a way it's like Prototype, which clearly had potential to be really good but the authors didn't/couldn't go that extra mile and make it happen. But while Prototype was sandboxy so you could always entertain yourself with kicking helicopters and surfing on people, Singularity is a corridor shooter - once you're done, that's it and unless you were blind you didn't miss much, maybe a few blueprints.
I blame consolitis.
