Anyone want to join me in making a Thief Universe-inspired Flash card game? - by Gadget2006

Interesting theory.

Hey, thanks for the bug report, I'll get right to fixing those within the next few days! :)
Speaking of Greater Pagan Apparition - did it roll 4/4 and then become 5/5, or did it roll 3/3 and then become 4/4? It's two different things - if it's the first one (GPA was 4/4, and City Guard Post made it +1/+1 for a total of 5/5), it's definitely a bug and it's non-legit; if it's the latter (GPA was 3/3, i.e. 6HD, and City Guard Post made it +1/+1 for a total of 4/4), it's totally legit. You can tell which one it is just by telling me what was the final power/toughness count on the card - 4/4 (legit) or 5/5 (not legit).
Door Glyph: I have the dang thing here, and I was sure I threw in the updated one in the latest card art package, but it turns out that I didn't. :) Well, hope I won't miss it in the release. :)

Alright, here is my next, and hopefully last, bug count:
On the card art readme, includes is spelled “^ cludes”
The Door Glyph is still upside down, but you probably just didn't get around to it yet.
It let me use city guard post on greater pagan apparition even though it rolled an 8 (4/4) total HD, higher than the 6 HD it was supposed to allow.
The card text on wall of fire is cut off at “wall of fire is equal to the-“
Wall of fire malfunctioned and didn't roll for power when I used Barricades on it.

On hold, waiting for your response (see my post above).

Can't reproduce. Just tried it with Barricades and it rolled its power just fine here on my end... Did you declare pass, perhaps? If you're in pass, Wall of Fire does not roll its power and is considered 0/5 (0/6 in case of Barricades) - it's in the card description text btw, and the reason for that is because you can't deal damage to your opp if you're in pass. Please tell me if you're sure you didn't declare pass, I'll dig the WoF-related code for bugs some more. :)

Hey Gadget, the final count on the GPA was 5/5, it was definitely a bug. I made sure to check that.
I'm surprised you couldn't reproduce the Wall of Fire bug, I was using it to defend and amped it up with barricades. It didn't roll for the power at all. Quite odd.

I don't know, I tried it multiple times today, trying to trip some code that may potentially be buggy, but I couldn't. Rolls its power every time, unless I'm in pass. Are you sure you didn't declare the pass? Keep in mind that the passing state is effective till your next turn. At any rate, I will keep looking through the code.

I'm trying to reproduce this one and can't reproduce it either... :( Can you fill me in on some details about the situation, please? I'm most interested in the following:
1) Was Greater Pagan Apparition the only one card in the stack declared or not?
2) If it wasn't, what banding cards and what effects did you play?
3) Did you attack or block when it happened?
I tried a raw Greater Pagan Apparition with a roll of 4 (4/4) with City Guard Post, and it correctly pulled it back to 4/4 due to effect replay. Tried it both when attacking and when blocking, seemed correct, at least it didn't push 4/4 all the way to 5/5 without tripping the effect replay code, which correctly reset GPA back to 4/4... hmmm....
Man, these bugs look quite annoying since they are rather hard to catch. :) Looks like this one, and possibly the Wall of Fire one if there's a bug there as well, only manifest themselves under certain circumstances, and figuring those out might be a pain... Anyway, I'll do my best to figure it all out and come up with a fix. ;)

1. It was the only one.
2. N/A
3. Attack
O the Wall of Fire, I had definitely not declared pass.

Do you remember what you were blocking, perhaps?
And another couple questions, just to be on the safe side: did you make any changes to Gauntlet.ini and did you press the "debug" button during the games in question?
Stath MIA on 6/8/2009 at 04:57
No to all questions, sorry. :(
