Anyone want to join me in making a Thief Universe-inspired Flash card game? - by Gadget2006

So..... Any news?
Well, I can't reproduce either of the card-related bugs (Wall of Fire and Greater Pagan Apparition+City Guard Post) , so I don't know what to do yet. Having tried a few dozen things, I don't rightly know what could potentially be wrong (especially given that I don't see the errors, it works fine for me), but I'm working on it... Have you been able to reproduce any of that stuff again? If you have, can you fill me in on the particulars? (I'm interested in as many facts as possible about the circumstances under which the game glitched, including, but not limited, to: what was the situation (what you were attacking or blocking with and what you were blocking in case of the block, your permanent cards, your opponent's permanent cards, what you were clicking and in what order, etc.).

Just mention it in the readme, and chalk it up to a one-time glitch, not a bug, until it happens again. :thumb:

Agreed with jtr, I can't manage to reproduce them either so they were probably just rare and unusual coincidences and can be safely ignored for the moment.

Yep, that's what I'm going to do then. It's now official - I can't reproduce these bugs... weird, must be some weird, super rare coincidence that triggers such bugs - could even be some AVM code interpretation bug in Flash Player, who knows... at any rate, postponed until some additional facts are found. On to other things for now. ;)

OK guys, I have good news and bad news this time. The good news is - the testing went well and I haven't found any new bugs in the code; I wasn't able to reproduce the two reported above either, though. The bad news is - I'm going to be hospitalized for at least a week, potentially for 10 days, which means no work on Gauntlet during that time and also a potential delay in release. However, given that I'm fine after the hospital and everything goes well (I still don't have a very good idea about how serious the affair is), we're still talking the end of September as the likely release date.
As for other things - Dan, are you still working on anything for the release (card art, sounds) or did you scrap the idea? Please at least tell me so I know whether to expect anything before the release or not...

Well! You do take care of yourself, and we'll hope the hospital does a great job taking care of you too. Hope to hear back from you in less than two weeks! :thumb:
Do what you gotta do, and we'll deal with it on our end.
