I have spent too long time now wthout any good results. I'm trying to remove the sword from this mesh: (

I removed it in anim8or but when i run it through MeshBld i just get calc_poly_segs. I'm not good when it comes to anim8or. I have tried to edit objects with relatively good results, but not ai meshes. If anyone of you good model makers want and have time to help me, i'll be very glad :) My intention is to have two models of that guard, one with, and one without the sword. So that my that guard could pickup the sword ingame.

How did you go about editing it? This is what I've done to remove swords:
Convert the .e file to .3ds
Import.
Delete the right hand, up to the elbow.
Copy and mirror the left hand.
Move it around to get it close to the right elbow.
Merge the vertices so there are no gaps.
Move the old sword joint object (JRFINGER_GREEN) to the AI's fingers.
I tend not to delete the swort limit plane (XSRWR) but I'm sure it would be okay.

I have manage to do everything except Merge the vertices. Could you explain the steps?

There's not much to explain. Select two points, and go to Edit > Merge Points (or capital L, i.e. shift + L key). All points within the specified distance will be merged.

In the uploaded file, the AI and all the joint boxes and limit planes have been combined in to one object. I hope you didn't do that to your Anim8or file. I also noticed that some faces on the right arm are back to front. In Anim8or the front of a face is yellow and the back is blue, so select all faces to find the blue ones, and for those ones only, go to Edit > Flip Normals.

Thanks for that explanation. I never thought i could do it, but now it works perfect.
I have not read guides for anim8or, just try for myself. I didn't really know what i did.
