Apparently Cincinnati is much closer to economic collapse. They're only just receiving this news, over a month after the fact.

Apparently New Zealand is close to economic collapse due to an outbreak of massive douchebaggery.

YEAH EVA YOU SHOW HIM
In all seriousness though. I find it startling that Starcraft is such a "sport" over in S. Korea that people are able to legitimately gamble on it, much less that it's high enough stakes for someone to actually take a dive. I really wonder if anyone at Blizzard ever thought that people would be incarcerated over a game of Starcraft.

And? All that article said was that there was match-rigging and illegal betting, but didn't bother to explain further. The article I linked to was a much more specific, recent, and relevant report on several actual players being indicted- in other words, an actual tangible event stemming from what the original report only hinted at.
Most of the sites I read- a few of which are sites
you read- didn't pick up on it. Hell, the only reason I even found the article was 'cuz I was bored and decided to slum it up at Kotaku for a bit.
Quit being such a colossal motherfucker.

These are some fun threads in GenGaming, eh? Full of engaging discussion and not at all populated by sniping mean-spirited humourless bullshit. Thanks for playing, chaps.

So at what point did the flaming on ttlg go from funny to outright mean spirited? Was it when the passive-aggressive tag system came onboard?
