It's no surprise. Ratzinger did sign an order instructing for children to be forced to sign oaths of secrecy while he was a cardinal.
Conspiracy to cover up child abuse is something which ought to be taken very seriously.
Rumour has it, he won't leave the Vatican as he's safe there.

Living in a rural, yet highly Catholic area, I was pulling for Cardinal Peter Turkson to be elected to Pope. Why? Because I'd have loved the quandary all these pious (and racist) fucks around here, nearly all of whom openly state that they still refuse to acknowledge the "darkie in the White House", would have suddenly found themselves in.
