The Blizzard ones are always good. :)
They must spend a day of half the developers' time preparing their jokes, though.

Hehe, I quite like the Xfire, Witcher and Diablo ones. "Up and down" DLC:laff: .
I think the A4 anime forums pulled an April Fool's joke on me since all the forums in it are missing and replaced with three strange forum topics.

As my standard of poor writing is Dan Brown, Fallout 3 passes muster. I wouldn't give it an award but I think a lot of the hate directed at FO3's writing is a bit hyperbolic.
While some people can go a bit overboard with "OMG IT'S SHIT!" there really is no getting past the fact that the writing is Fallout 3 is pretty poor in almost all areas. There are a few good ideas here and there,
I thought the whole cannibal/vampire thing was quite an interesting little plot-line , but the writing itself is clunky, uninteresting and downright lazy.

Lame other than the bit about multiplayer, which should be part of every handheld game's promotional material.
Edit: Ok, that video is ace, too.

Fallout 3 winning a prize for best writing at the GDC. Not great really, the best April Fool's have an element of believability to them.
I didn't think the writing in FO3 was stellar, but I'd be hard pressed to think of a 2008 game that I'd rate higher.

"Radial Dialogue Tree" kills.
That is fucking incredible. "Book vision" is awesome too.
