Since the only fine wine to be found anywhere in Cragscleft is hidden behind some tapestry, and since the Hammers are religious fanatics, I wonder if it's against their tenants to drink. I don't see anything about it in their texts (that are available to the player, anyhow).

allowed as part of the rituals, but not allowed to get drunk for fun, most probably.

Wine (albeit less alcoholic than today) was too important a part of medieval cuisine that you could just leave it out (even the Muslims didn't avoid it completely). The Templars had it as part of their prescribed lunch and dinner rules, although rationed and mixed with water (IIRC?). I think that's a good indication. The St Edgar's Eve map has bottles but I couldn't find an explicit mention of wine right now.

You can find fine wine in the dining room in Undercover if I remember right. They're so protective of it that it raises an alarm if a Hammer sees them gone.

It is, which is why Hammerites make terrible landlords.

Plus in TDS, you have the Father Debole's Solace, a special loot item belonging to Father Debole (duh :p) which is a heavy drinker
