I read the post correctly and thoroughly. You said that for you, TTLG was summed up by its extremes. I felt that was rather black and white and was gently reminding you that there are shades of grey. Didn't mean to sound overly critical.

Whoops, forgot to come to this! Usually go on other site, anyway phew, well Dia must be the best out of that bunch 'cos even she is here
Anyway now that I can probably relax a bit, I have absolutely no idea what to say, mmmm, goodbye! Nah, i'll think of something, oh yes, I managed to get Thief Gold off eBay yesterday (recieving not ordering), great condition, now I can get even more fm's, also I was surprised to make a friend who knew all about Thief in 6th form (bit between High School and Uni for you Americans ;) )
Any of you guys know Thief13x or wateva? I think he has been on here, I'll check member list...
BrokenArts on 24/4/2007 at 17:02
Yeah, Thief13x is here, and on the Black Cat board as well.

Nope. But my very first post on ttlg was ripped to pieces by ZB.
That's not the way I remember it.
My recollection begins with you asking if anyone had an SS2 savegame you could have because you suffered a crash and lost your progress to date. ZylonBane suggested maybe just starting again and using the experience gained from your first playthrough to your advantage -- a generally intelligent idea, seeing as how there are quite a few things in the early levels that someone with a little familiarity with the game would now know to look for and do.
And you said something along the lines of "When I want advice on how to run my life, I'll ask for it."
Which was a bit dickish and uncalled for. Kinda like your latest "read better next time" snap.

You are right. No idea why I was so rude in that first post. So that makes 2 rude remarks in 4 years. Mustn't make a habit of it.
What I tried to express is that some members keep going for the ball (to name one Shadowcat) (=content) and at least one goes for the player when it suits him
Now, the last remark is a soccer-phrase which may not come across very well, but I hope you get the general idea:cheeky:

I must be overly lucky, then, as I don't think I've faced anyone's wrath yet . . .
. . . and No, that doesn't mean it needs to fire up here, as that would probably prompt a cynical, sarcastic backlash from me (which I haven't had reason yet to unleash).

Dia on 25/4/2007 at 02:56
It's all a front. He's vicious as hell.
No really.
'Specially if you try to take his wig away.
Or one of his little dolls.
