He used the word 'portal' colloquially rather than technically, and your response was to entirely ignore the substance of his statements (even after he clarified them), and instead post a bunch of snark about what an illiterate idiot this guy was for using the word portal incorrectly:



TBH, I don't understand how you can view the situation differently. Pretend all you like, but it's obvious that (in cases such as this) you are not motivated by some sincere and altruistic desire to ensure that forum users are properly informed, so please spare us. All of us see right through your shenanigans. This is just something you get a kick out of- nothing more, nothing less.

Also relevant: even if you were making an important and valid point, (you were not, in this instance), being pointlessly rude is both an ineffective way to convince others of your arguments, and also just plain unpleasant for everyone else.

Back to the topic at hand, Downwinder, I think you'll enjoy one of the projects I'm working on, atm. Lot's of exploration, very few enemies, and plenty of unusual topologies to experience.

exploration is probaly one of my fav things to do in thief,just travel in a mission while seeing the themes change as you go along
