*Tapped the left mouse button accidentally, and blackjacked Jenivere.
hmm... i blackjacked Basso right before the end of that mission, in DromEd of course, and just started to throw his body off all sorts of things.
I've found a really interesting trick in DromEd, if you want to be able to FLY, just crouch, hold SHIFT, and hit a LEAN button. walk toward the ground and uncrouch, and youll be able to fly ANYWHERE within the extents of the level!

SHIFT + Q activates fly mode in DromEd. No crouching required ;)
I really hate zombies and I've still never gotten past Cragscleft (I know, I know) but yesterday I was determined that I'd get through those zombies once and for all.
I thought I was pretty familiar with the layout and placement of the zombies and corpses. I could see one in the distance and was side-stepping into a bit of dark tunnel to my left to hide from him when I hear this really loud moan and realise I'd strafed right into one of his mates. :(
I tried to hit Esc, get my headphones off and jump across the room all at the same time and just ended up in a tangled mess on the floor.
I'll never get past those things.

Oh, I've had plenty of silliness... the most recent ones from Deadly Shadows...
-In the first mission, I never did figure out how to reach the special loot portrait.:tsktsk:
-The first time I visited the Forbidden Libraries, I came in through the main entrance. :D I had a hell of a time trying to do it without alerting the guard and failing the game... Eventually my technique was the following - flashbombs did not count as 'harmful' and also do not trigger any alarms (after the effect has passed), so I would constantly throw a flashbomb, pick a portion of the lock, spin around to throw another as the guard begins regaining his vision, return to the lock, and so on... XDDDD:laff:
Imagine my suprise when I discovered the 'secret' entrance after passing through it.
-I never realised stonies were vulnerable to flashbombs until I read about it. Xd

yeah, i have a bit of a problem with zombies... until i just decided to not consider them human, which theyre not i know, but when trying to get thru w/o killing, i usually counted them, but i said to hell with it and hacked away at any zombie i couldnt blow to chunky bits with holy water, fire arrows, or mines. :ebil: after a while, i started liking it. how could you
not enjoy blowing zombies to smithereens with holy water and explosives? or constantly hacking them to peices and raising them back up.
How could you not enjoy that, I ask you?!?!

You can just "drop" flashbombs instead of throwing them?!?!
All the times I've played TDP/TMA, I used flashbombs by staring right at the ground, throwing them down at me feet, then using my high mouse sensitivity to whip my head away so I didn't get blinded! I got incredibly successfull at it too. The times I wasn't fast enough, I'd just run around blindly swinging my blackjack randomly in the hopes that I'd hit the guard(s).
I also had big problems with frobbing things, because the key for frobbing also "uses" items in your inventory when nothing is in range, and I like to have my flashbombs ready. Also because I play with my gamma at minimum level. So imagine in the guard barracks in Assasins:
"Gee, it's full of guards in here. Maybe I should avoid them... Oh wait! I think I see...yes, a stack of coins on that table."
*sneak, sneak*
"Okay, I'm a bit closer and nobody sees me. Now if I lean over I can get it...Oh shit, I can't see!!! Whew, now my eyesight is clearing again and... Oh. I'm dead now."

Yeah. The very first time I played DS, [this was on easy] I was so sloppy in the castle. I ended up shooting one guard and killing a few more then someone discovered the body, and also me hiding nearby. Panicking, I ran -- into another guard. I killed them both in amidst a desperate, flightly, panic that kept picking up momentum until I stopped running into people. I had been running wherever I could just to get away - bedchambers, halls, everything, they of course followed me. Soon enough I realized I had killed everyone pseudo-accidentally inside the castle except for a servant hiding in a side room.
Looting was easy squeasy, but somehow felt dirty and cheap.
I eventually reloaded and did it more properly. :cheeky:

And just today, I was playing Robbing the Cradle again. That level always terrified me - how the ambient howling and stuff really creates a nice atomosphere on megaheadphones. In the Inner Cradle I killed a foe after tempting him into arrow sight with a noisemaker arrow. I shot him with a fire arrow causing him to run I followed, and maybe shot him with three broadheads - at this time it was dark I couldn't see the arrows well - I had chased him to another area of the map. It has been awhile since I played Thief, and being shooter-bred I start killin' whenever I get scared so it was kind of a mess. This other guy comes over and starts beating on me no doubt attracted by the sound of me finishing the first guy off with my dagger. He starts pounding on me until I run off, hoping he'll chase me into the light - I couldn't see him at all. I go back once and see a dark silhouette beating on me this time. Good. I know where he is. I run off, trying to draw him again. I do this a few times, back and forth, everytime getting beat from somewhere I'm not entirely sure until I catch a glimpse of darker shadow. After I died following a few more skirmishes I realized he stayed put every time, and I would run right up and crouch at his feet each time I looked for him.

Here's one from TDS...
I was never able to get through Thief I and II because my new computer was unable to play the games. Now I found the way to fix that, but I can't find the games. So that gives me very little knowledge aboutthe Pagans, Hammerites, ect. Which sort of explains my following episode.
Anywho, I was wondering though the Pagan Tunnels and came across the body of a dead Pagan (this was right at the beginning). I didn't know one of the city folk that were down there must have killed him, and when I saw the glowy green light thing floating above him, I thought it was some sort of Pagan undead that would rise when I got close enough...
I feel really stupid, now.
Another one: At the very beginning of T:DS, I didn't hear Garrett talk about the townspeople not bothering you if you don't do anything wrong in front of them. So there I was, spending the time between the first few missions dodging city folk left and right...

well... at least you got a lot of practice, eh? ;)
i remember a time when i thought the only way to kill those giant robots in TMA was to blast the hell out of them with fire crystals... that got me in a lot of trouble, apparently blowing things up is seen as a ..bad.. thing within the confines of the City.
