I to here was very stupid for some reason when the eye was talking to me I thought he meant the statue at the cathedral doors (the statue where you put the talesman of fire) so I sat there and shot all my arrows at it from diffrent areas untill i finaly figured out it was the wrong damn statue!
if that isn't stupidity I dunno what is!

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what the Eye was instructing me to do. Anyway, he was speaking in Ole English and his voice sounded like a dying rhino on dope. When I figured out what he was trying to tell me, the task was actually damn easy! Well, I just need to improve on my Ole English then.

I'm sure many people have done this as its more accidental than stupid:
Hitting F11 instead of F12 in TDP/TG whilst looking at your own body melt in liquid hot magma. I did this once in the lost city (and I'm sure in other places as well) and banged my head up against the screen multiple times afterward before proceeding to restart the whole damn level. I am now afraid to use quick save in TDP/TG.

"I don't know & I don't care. We go through this all the time. You ask these stupid questions & something goes wrong. Lord Bafford, Lord Donnell, Sheriff Truart, we worked for all of them and always got fired because someone broke in, something got stolen, or someone got killed. I'm always too distracted in answering your stupid questions. When this job is over, your on your own. I'm done with ya."

Ahhhh..I remember back when my brother was playing the level where you gotta hitch a ride on the sub in TMA. He was trying to get something out of a chest. He naturally trys his lockpicks, then all of his keys, then spends 2 HOURS looking for the key. He gets back to the chest, uses it, then realizes it was unlocked the whole time!
Another stupid thing I did was when I hit the button in Truart's basement before reading the plaque. I hear the hissing sound and it's just one of those "oh, f**k" moments.

When trying to stack up a few mines in THC, trying to blow the door to the keeper compound off, I accidentally set them off and went flying backwards, hitting the oppsite wll

Hah! You people are rookies! I bet that none of you so called 'stupid thieves' have even come close to matching my innate idiocy...
When I was first playing TDP, I was under the impression that knocked out foes would wake up after a time. So I spent lots of time killing every one I blackjacked...and when Thief's hit-detection screwed up, I resorted to throwing them in fires/swimming pools/off high places...
Also in that one mission in TMA, forget the name, but it's all rooftops (Angelwatch or something), everytime a guard surprised me, I'd take a running leap off the edge of the building and try to mantle onto a nearby rooftop, needless to say, it didn't work even once (out of the 10 or so times I tried it). The most noticable time was when I peeked at that rotten necromancer's book...my ass was flying through the window before the zombies had time to blink...

Oh how smart I felt after fleecing Bafford's
place in TDP and moving on with my loot. Oh how stupid I felt after "finding" the ELEVATOR in Cragscleft after playing the level for a very loooong time! Wow an elevator - up down up down up down, neat!
No problem with flshbmbs or lockpicks though, pure dumb luck. ps I can't wait to blackjack a Burrick, never done that...

ye taffers cannot beat me! I play the level return to the cathernal with knowning that u can just do a tap dance in the main chamber and then drop 2 flash bomb and clear things out! Instead I had to sneak through the horde of zombies and haunts...<shudder>

Well here's my stupidity, i was in Ramirezs mansion and i knocked him out but i didnt took his purse. And the mission objectives say that you must steal the purse from his belt, well of course i didnt know it was Ramirez and there i was trying to find that cursed man and luckily i walked next to his body and grapped the purse (still not knowing that he was Ramirez
Inline Image:
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif). After that i returned to search for Ramirez, thinking that it was just normal purse that i grapped. After that the Mission Compelete screen came and it was then i realised that it was Ramirez.
AArgh and i even spent TWO hours to find him
