Listen, you should really stop slandering GamersGate, because they're a decent company trying to do the right thing. Sure, the copy of Thief Gold I bought from them was DRM'd to hell and back and I couldn't even patch it, and I can't buy their fake money in less than the unit denominations they specify, and they have a terrible download client, but does that give you the right to call them sexist? Their coins are blue, not feminist hot pink or Zoe Quinn purple. Just... stop. GAWD.

So pretty much as I expected - you give Star Wars to a real director, suddenly you have shots that aren't "that back and forth facial closeup thing they do when people talk in soap operas" or "let's see how much CGI shit we can render on screen at one time in a big jumbled mess."

Looks kinda cool. At least more intriguing than marvel movies. Though that's partly the general attachment I already have to Star Wars.
The guy's sword at 0:55 is ridiculous and probably impractical but I love it. It looks different than the old style lightsabers though. Have they changed the look? I also like the droid spinning his 2002 world cup football under him at 0:30. That's pretty funky.
What about (

That's the one I originally posted before editing, and it's clearly fan made. The quote from Anchorman 2 is what gave it away for me (Harrison Ford's line about "an old war horse").

Looks like someone upgraded the Falcon's old radar dish after the battle of Endor.

Trailer: for 45 seconds of content - it looks quite promising.
Oddly enough, the bot was the thing that convinced me in the most - strong SW (the non-shit ones of course) vibes for me there.

I like that the desert isn't covered with 80 cgi animals humping each other and destroying the framing of the shots.

One of the things people most complain about when it comes to Abram's Star Trek is that it's too much Star Wars, not enough Star Trek. Hell, Abram's even admits to being a bigger Star Wars fan, so that's not much of a surprise.
So hey, it's not a huge stretch to think that Abram's Star Wars might actually turn out pretty decent. The trailer had the right pitch, tone, and style, and we already know he's better at directing people than George Lucas was There's a good chance it could turn out far better than we're expecting.
Consider me cautiously stoked.
