I was totally in the wrong for not seeing the 2nd link and for being a nitpicky little bitch, but man it has to be one of the lamest things ever when people post dictionary excerpts (fake or otherwise) to prove their point.

While I don't think it was appropriate in this context, I've certainly encountered a lot of internet discussions where the basic disagreement boils down to simple semantics. What am I supposed to do? :erg: "That word does not mean what you claim it means."

I'm not terribly enthused about this relentless franchise milking after decades, but it did recently occur to me that Chris Pratt is pretty much our current-day Han Solo/Indiana Jones. It'd be neat if they cast him for the part.
Edit: oh, there's more text at the bottom of the page of the article. And it says what I just said. Never mind, been up too late.

Films are like politicians. We get the ones we deserve.

At this rate, soon every film will be "Star Wars".
Star Wars: The Fast & The Furious
Star Wars: Minions
Star Wars: Madagascar
Star Wars: Star Trek
Star Wars: Gone With The Wind - The Revenge of Scarlett

For me this is long overdue. They could release a Star Wars film every month for 10 years, and it still would be a fraction of the treatment that the Star Trek universe has had over multiple movies and TV series. And the Star Wars universe is altogether richer and more diverse, because it doesn't have to shoehorn Earthlings into everything. Thank goodness Disney rescued the franchise from Lucas's sweaty clutches.

Probably
because it hasn't been on syndicated TV for decades. :p

They need a Star Wars version of Coronation Street / Eastenders (long-running twice weekly (or maybe more) UK soap operas) - just keep it going, never stop.
