I will admit racing and flying, especially the more simulatory ones, take a LOT of practise before you get any good at them; one i remember with particular fondness, 'Grand Prix Legends', took me a month of training before i could make it round the track at any reasonable speed without crashing! Learning to land a 747 in the Flight Sim series is also something that takes a fair bit of practise
But then so did Thief right? The payoff is worth it when you finally complete a full length 1967 Grand Prix, or when you manage to land a damaged plane. Why dont more women, and people generally enjoy these games i wonder
Judging from Fantom and MissyK i think it might just be that taking a small genre out of an already small female gamer population doesnt leave a large group
