drool drool drool drool
with megatexture you could accomplish vast cave systems with high ceilings, omg I don't even wanna start thinking about it and start to cry when they announce something else. Or they could do an Arx port for Ipod(touch)/Android/Wii. That would actually be awesome imo.

Considering Zenimax's RPG focus I'm hoping they will fund a sequel to Arx or Dark Messiah.

You're failing to see the bigger picture here:
I'm hoping they will fund a sequel to Arx incorporating Dark Messiah's viceral fighting style.

with destructible tunnels and a "dig yourself out" minigame :)
Only the slight news of them as a studio surviving, getting money and working on a new project and only the slightest small probability of an Arx2 or ARX INFINITE ;) feels like christmas.
I want it all, DarkMessiah melee, Arx gesture-based REALTIME magic system, a little crafting, full body-awareness, some stealth, mantling of ledges, crafting........oh it would be so glorious.
I'm gonna replay Arx right away after I finished my AC2 noHUD playthrough.

Both Arkane projects have been confirmed using UE3. Try to make a gesture system for a gamepad. Good luck.
A Dark Messiah sequel is impossible, since it was bound to the Might & Magic franchise, which is owned by Ubisoft.
A dumbed down Arx 2 will have to do.

It's not like they didn't release Arx for the Xbox, or anything.

And? Was it well implemented?

I don't know. It's not impossible.
Also, there is the valid question whether magic should be made easy.

well, ue3 can mean anything, there's really no limitation.
But all signs points to that they'll make a console game, who doesn't these days?
