Looks good to me. This announcement is a little close to DX:HR's release though, no?
Digital Nightfall on 10/7/2011 at 20:32
Things like that sometimes work out in your favor. If DXHR is good then it will get people hungry for similar-looking games. With Dishonored in the media, it's time for them to notice us.

True. I hope you guys are keeping them in check. :cheeky:

Digital Nightfall - if I may ask, what's your role in the production?
Digital Nightfall on 11/7/2011 at 06:39
I'm a level designer (like Purah).

I hope the rule (from Calendra's Legacy) "every place is worth a screenshot" still applies. :thumb:

Aha, it does, BUT,
Keep in mind that these days on AAA projects, the level designers don't actually touch the graphics. That's handled by the art team. We just create the gameplay space and what happens there, and then it gets "art'd up" by others on the team.

Dishonored has several major elements that combine to create its unique gameplay: mobility, powers & gadgets, environment, and AI. The trick is that a single power doesn’t just do damage or heal you. You can combine them organically to create interesting effects. Stop time and knock a bunch of stuff off a table in one direction then book it in another, so the guards search for you in the wrong place. Summon a swarm of rats to attack one guard, but possess one of the rats and escape in the chaos. Every problem has as many solutions as you want it to.
