Is it to do with the difficulty level, perhaps? I'm playing on Normal. If so, I might have a bash at reloading and playing on a harder level, because I found the whole Gammal's lair thing too easy - and I'm not the sort of player who normally grumbles about things being too easy.

I thought that Gamall's lair was a "city-dwelling", not a mission, so Difficulty wouldnt be affected? Hmm, maybe Im just imagining it after not playing the statues for a little while... I'll re-check it

Oh - I didn't know there was a distinction between city dwellings and missions.

Well, you know you can set your difficulty on missions, but Gamall's lair wasnt a mission.

Aha - I hadn't thought about it - probably because I always play on Normal - I just assumed that changing the difficulty changed it for the entire game.
I know that the harder levels involve collecting more loot and more special items, but what about enemies? Do you get more opponents to deal with, or do you get the same number of opponents, but they're just harder to handle/more alert?

Try with
mines
.

Moria - Yeah, they're both harder to get by and theres more of them. In expert mode on the Cradle, the 9th patient is there (thanks Rantako for being braver than me and finding this out!)
