rpgdot.com has posted nine new Arx screenshots, some of which are really rather impressive. View at your own risk (I think screenshots do qualify as spoilers for an adventure or RPG)

That last high-res shot just became my background image (after being darkened, of course... the brightness seems to be set way high; maybe to show off the character models and textures in their full glory...)

in one of the shots there appears to be a cursor (looks like a little gauntlet, in the screen with the skeleton being ipaled on spikes), is that there all the time like in Underworld and System Shock, or does it show up after pushing a button, like right-click? I think I'd prefer the latter.

It is a far, far better thing to keep a firm anchor in nonsense than to set out on the troubled waters of thought.

I'm _guessing_ that they're using a Shock 2-type system, whereby you toggle between mouse-look mode and cursor-mode with a keystroke.
Given that modern first-person games really need to have mouse-look, and the presence of the cursor suggests they're not using Thief's method of interaction (probably not feasible for a full RPG anyhow) then it seems like the likely solution.
This is just speculation, though. (I can't recall whether they've discussed this in any interviews.)

Gloups ! Risky indeed !
They will probably use the system whereby toggle between mouse-look mode and cursor-mode with a keystroke AND the system whereby the cursor will show up when do not press the right button any longer (continualy pressing the right button permitt mouse-look).
