Just a note to mention that the Arx Fatalis demo is on the cover of PC Zone this month (just arrrived through my front door), for anyone in the UK who have not had chance to play the demo.

Bugger.
With the vast number of bug reports and consequent bug fixes from the first demo, could they not have waited until a second demo came out???

That's not a good thing, really. Most of the people who get this demo will not have the knowledge that we do of how much the game has been fixed since the demo, nor will they have any inclination to search and find out. :(

Demo was nice. Looked good. Control system a little odd. I liked it.
BUT THE SPIDDDDDDDDEERRRSSS!!!! AAAAAAAAAARGHHH!!! Why, why, why???? SO horrible. UGH!! I hate spiders. Hate, hate , hate. That big one freked me out so much I had to turn the game off.
I decided to conquer my fear and the 2nd time it wasn't so bad. It came a walking and I zapped it.
But NO!! That was a SMALL spider. Ther big one was still there. Makes me shiver thinking about it!! Kudos to the developers for freking me so badly.
One Q. Is it ALL going to be dungeon based?
Another Q. In the demo can you get into the pub?

There are people who really panic when they see a normal spider - once knew one. No kidding!). I can stand "normal" spiders - but the big ones in Thief, or Arx really make my hairs stand up...

Actually the spiders in Arx don't scare me as much as those nasty ones in Thief, it's the sound they make I think. And I think thief had more realistic spiders somehow. The spiders in Arx are cute.:)
