In a personal e-mail chat with Raf, he told me that the Multiplayer version of Arx would be released on August, 15th (2002).
We were talking in French so it would be point less to quote him but here is a sumary of what he told me...
Actually, most of the artwork is already done (textures and characters are 90% the ones from Arx Fatalis) and a large part of the code is based on the one of Arx Fatalis (especially the 3D engine of course).
So if they manage to respect the Arx Fatalis deadline, it shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 months to release the Multiplayer game.
And something quite new in the game industry (not in the OS one). It will be sold in two ways:
1 - the multiplayer game alone for those who don't have Arx Fatalis
2 - an upgrade (just like Windows) for those who already own AF. And this version would be cheaper and would install on top of AF.

Te"I was just told by Raf in a private email chat (in German, sorry, quoting it would be useless) that Arx for Linux will be released on 20th August 2002"ls
