I do not get the tutorial text. Anyone solved this?
running Hercules Kyro2 with latest XP drivers

Kyro2... we got it working here, might be a driver problem... also you might want to try to set your forceGDI setting to 1 in the cfg.ini, but I'm not sure it will fix the problem. I really believe it's a driver thing. Also, check that your antialias setting in the windows desktop properties is set to off.

youre probably right ... the old version of the demo showed the text so ... I will try that setting you suggested though

still doesnt work but if i right click madly when i see the little arx icon appear at the top, the text flashes up briefly so i can get the idea of what the tip is.

well .... its okay i will get by for now.
Also i get odd in-game bugs *sometimes*, like some items in backpack have all black round them rather than "transparent" edging, as does the mouse pointer occasionally. This is definitely just a "kyro2" wierdness i think. I will try and send you some screenshots or post them. If I can stop playing. ;)

I also had the blackness around some items as well as the cursor. I played around with the textures and mipmap details slider and got rid of it. you may try that.
