Go on, fire away. I'll try to explain what I can.

I have been wondering about the ranged combat. How much does it feel like the archery in Thief? Thief's archery is perfect, you know.

Is there an advantage to the two button combat system?

minimum specs?

Digi: I wish I knew! I'll tell you guys about it as soon as I get a chance to take a first hand look at it.
Judis: Yes - speed. That is, only because it's faster to release a mouse butten then it is for you to click a mouse button. Imagine that you're in the fray, and you want to drink a health potion. In toggle mode, you have to click the right button, reach down to your inventory (assuming it is already open), quaff the potion, and then click the right mouse button again. If you are in hold-the-frikkin-thing-down mode, then you just release, quaff, and then start holding again. If you know exactly what you are doing, it's faster. But if you're like me and find it clumbsey to hold down both buttons at once, toggle mode is much faster. That question may be better asked of someone who actually likes the hold mode better. :)
Fafhrd: It's changing. Twp months ago it was 700. Recently they got it down to 500. Now they're saying 400 (I think they're just being optimistic on that one... hehe). Geforce 2 or higher is recommended, though I think that you'll be okay if you have a card one generation older then that.

Interesting... thanks!

I'd like to add a few things:
-if you want to drink a potion, you actually don't need to rightclick it in your inventory, you can use a hotkey to drink potions, that's quicker ;)
-Regarding perfomances:
It's been one of our main focus for the past few months (implementing Hardware transform, optimized quaternions routines for animations, portals clipping...) and I assure you that the final result is really good: you definitely won't need a killer machine to play the game. Also, you can decrease the clipping depth in order to adapt the performances to your machine.

How good is the AI in Arx Fatalis? Are they using a similar system to Thief based on alert levels and does it compare to or surpass the AI in most games today?

Closer fog = faster game
Medium fog = best looking
No fog = Ugly
Close fog = you're blind
The AIs act like Deus Ex AIs, but don't seem quite as dumb. They also have Thief quality animations, so they just look more "alive" then the Deux Ex characters.

Hmm...so what are you saying about the AI? The Deus Ex AI seemed like a rip-off of the Dark AI to me....so does that mean that they're not quite as good as Thief's but having that same "rip-off" feel to it? ;)
...or maybe its just me?
Oh and i asked this a while ago, but will the player be able to mantle in Arx? And you said that there would be leaning implimented, will there be a forward lean as well as the side to side lean?
