This would be a lot more interesting if they scrapped the sci fi part and made it an actual game about an assassin in the renaissance.
Also, they really have to do something about the repetitiveness of the gameplay and all the collectathons. Still, I'm hopeful, as the running away from the guards bits were just freaking awesome.

Too many weapons. He's an assassin, they should focus on the stealth killing and the escaping. Thief gameplay with acrobatics, and the occasional kill.

Nice write-up Kuuso, what's your source?

Sounds like they are listening to the fans/reviewers main gripes w/the 1st one. Thumbs up, if it all comes together.

I've just started playing the original Assassin's Creed on PC. Is there any point in doing all the side-missions? Does it improve my character's abilities or equipment? Or might I just as well not do all the repetitive mini-jobs over and over again?

Oh joy, a sequel to the game where you play an assassin but that isn't any fun unless you act completely unlike an assassin.

Yeah I was just wondering if they improved stealth. Cutting my way through hordes of enemies like I did in one specific part of the first game wasn't really fun since I was really pissed off at them and it was more like "haha killed you you monkeys ass face!!! how you like someone doing that to you!?".....
...uhm who's blood is this?...
