Can't find a thread for this. Searching for "Assassins" only brings up the AC2 thread, weirdly.
Now I've not played AC2, though I will at some point I'm sure, and wasn't too fussed about the ACB (which is essentially AC3, isn't it?) news.
Til I saw this: (

Love it, it's mental, totally illogical and unsuitable but great.

that's for the multiplayer, there are many different intro trailers out there for all characters. it's a neat concept but...well, it's multiplayer for a console game so I assume I know how it ends (splinter cell conviction on pc, aehm). the press seems to rave about it and get all hyped but I can't see the novelty or genius in it. it's just a "guided" deathmatch.

I agree with this point, but it would be still be a lot of fun at LANs regardless. Too it that it probably won't even have LAN support and the online connectivity wil highly likely be terribly coded for PC. You see this MP component is being made by Ubisoft Shanghai and they have a shocking record when it comes to PC ports. Eg Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

Looks like The Ship without all the Sims bullshit. 2 was good, I'll probably give this a whirl until we get part 3.

Why is this game necessary? After 2 went and took a giant dump over the story that the first game was building up into, a contrived sequel can only do worse.
It seems multiplayer was cut from the original game(there's several missions that seem designed as "training" for online gametypes) , then bundled with a slapped on single player campaign so that ubi could charge full price for it.
They shall have none of my cash.

2 did what.

I guess on a planet of 10 billion people there must be one person who thinks that. I didn't expect to find him here, though.

Completely dismissing a game that you haven't even played is bad enough, but one that's yet to be released? Without even waiting to see the reception amongst critics at the bare minimum? Congratulations on revealing your status as a complete fucking retard.
