Are you serious? Cute developers do not a good game make. I don't see how what she looks like has anything to do with the game. If you buy it you're paying for the game. You don't get to play with Jade btw, not in RL, not in-game.

I'd bet that a good majority of gamers will buy Assassin's Creed because they think it'll "give them a shot" at dating Jade.
I'm absolutely serious.

He didn't say that. What he said was that he didn't see any problems with them using her for the marketing, and I agree with him - we're talking about marketing, which is about selling a product. It's not about quality. How is showing her face any different from listing features ("Immersive!" "Intricate storyline!" "Life-like animations!") that a game may or may not have? Let's be realistic - it's not primarily quality that sells, it's marketing. And in that respect I think it's less silly to have a game producer who happens to be fairly cute 'sell' the game than some model with big boobs who's never played a game in her life, other than Puzzle Quest.

Thankyou for clearing that up.
As for the reason there's no demo - it's a sandbox style game and would be impossible to section off parts for a demo.
I would love a demo just as much as the next person but it's not going to happen. And Ubisoft are confident this game will do well.

Not having a demo because it's a sandbox game is no excuse.
See Crackdown.

Malf, I'm only repeating what I've watched on video interviews with Jade (from Ubisoft).

She's talking nonsense, then. Harder, maybe; but to say it's impossible is just silly. If she'd said "impossible with the budget we have to work with", one might accept that (although in that case I'd just say the publisher needs to pony up some extra money in order to make a demo happen).
I have absolutely no problems with them spending the time they have available getting the game into the best state they can before release, and then working on a demo afterwards. That would make perfect sense. But no demo at all? Not really a great idea.

After seeing some previews for Assassin's Creed . . . maybe it's just me . . . but it seems like there are a lot of aspects in similar with Thief . . . maybe it's just me . . .
