That's why those modes have shoulders on medium. If you're just careful you won't overflow. If you pick up something you don't want, or fill up a whole column, you'll just have to sit on the shoulder for a bit and figure out how to get out of the stick.
The stupid thing is that powerups sometimes show up on the shoulders at the least convenient moment.
Mono is good when you just want to enjoy the ride without too much thinking though.

The medium modes are for pussies, though.

Well, I find the hard modes besides Ninja Mono next to impossible so I play pointman or eraser on medium when I don't feel like having only two block colors.

Elite Eraser's my favourite; concentrate on 2 colours, preferably red & yellow, and delete any others you may collect by accident.

David Bowie's Low makes some preaty nifty rides, esp. track #5- Always Crashing in the Same Block.

On that note, I really think you should be able to set up a playlist that you can play immediately after one another with no break in between.

Good stuff. I'm horribly addicted. My only complaint is that there are some tracks that just completely throw it off. I tried "Troops in Gathering" from Metal Gear Solid 3, one of the most adrenaline-pumping tracks I have - and it's all uphill. The program just can't read it. Ditto with Halo's "Rock Anthem to Save the World".
That said, while not one of my favorite R.E.M. song, Bad Day on Ninja Mono kicks ass.

Yep, albums like The Dark Side of the Moon or like the 2nd half of Abbey road must not be fragmented.
That 10 min limitiation should go as well. I cant think why they made it so.

I think the limit is around 25 minutes, actually. I've done Right of Spring and The Firebird Suite, and they're both 22 minutes long.
