Heh, I was just thinking about practical applications for this, and I remembered the ARI glasses in Heavy Rain.
Sure, not everything that you could do with ARI is physically possible in real life (no pair of glasses is going to investigate an entire crime scene and flash all the clues at you like some omniscient virtual Sherlock Holmes), but the whole cross-referencing and virtual overlay stuff - fuck, this could get good.
Coming to gaming, there could be tons of ridiculous and interesting situations, like a work minigame where your boss turns into a... boss, and you square off against him/her and exploit weak spots. Good for a play before you either resign or get carted off to the nearest psychiatric ward, I suppose. Or then how about a turn-your-life-into-a-sims game. (Brr. Irony.) Or something gimmicky like making everyone you talk to look like Megan Fox or Ricky Martin or massi.
Ha. I wish I could actually make stuff like this. If only I were less lazy. And more motivated. Ah, well.
