Australia is really a great country to live in but... - by PigLick

Yeah, I saw an analysis somewhere just after it went through. The wording was kinda fudged and weasely. If you thought they were going to bring games ratings in line with film and so forth, you/we were sadly mistaken. Most of the old exclusions still applied.
This was just a matter of time unfortunately.

And with this I think it's time they got rid of the R18+ system here. If they wont let games in that deserve the rating and are available elsewhere with an R rating, then the R18+ rating as it stands in it's "current" form is completely pointless.
Things as they stand, as before it was brought in looks to be the same which only encourages piracy / and or people creating fake American accounts just to be able to access content that they should never have been denied access to in the first place.
If this had been a movie it would have been allowed in no worries.
Piglick: Create a US account on Amazon and get the steam codes that way. Nice little way of circumventing it (assuming you were getting if for PC, if not then make a fake US account for XBox or whatever).

I sincerely hope GTA5 doesnt get this bullshit treatment.
icemann was looking at getting on xbox, but now might as well just wait for pc version, cant be arsed creating overseas accounts and whatnot, and realistically, I shouldnt have to.
So as games get more and more adult content and realistic visuals are game devs just gonna go, well fuck australia we dont need their business anyway...

State of Decay got denied too apparently.

for the record you must have posted as I was, my last couple were about the state of decay debacle. I wasnt interested in SR4 really, but apparently from what I have read its something to do with an "anal probe" :tsktsk:
