The folks over at Speed Demos Archive are holding another one of their marathons from Jan 5-11 to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

This year's marathon will include games like the original Deus Ex and Dishonored among many other great titles which should be fairly interesting to watch. The streams are also set up so that you get to hear the runners commentary as they run through each game which is always cool. It's definitely more entertaining than watching other speedruns where you don't always know whats going on and therefore fail to appreciate some of the exploits/tricks that are being used to break the game. Anyways, this is something that I thought some of you guys may be interested in checking out in your spare time.

I watch speed runs on twitch somewhat regularly. Pretty much all of the runs on the schedule are a good watch, but I'm especially looking forward to Super Mario World (small-mario only) and F-ZERO GX Very Hard Story mode. F-ZERO GX is an insane game just to play casually and they've got one of the top players in the world doing it. I think it will be pretty great. Not to mention all the cash going to charity as well.
