I mean let's be honest, they don't think about sex all the time because they're gay. They think about sex all the time because they're men!

I guess I'm lucky then -- at least I see the left half of the page I was expecting. The right-half of their content is always completely obscured beneath a floating sidebar. Easily deleted, but given that I usually find Kotaku a bit rubbish, maybe I shouldn't thwart their attempts to stop me reading their articles.
Kolya on 1/4/2011 at 10:30
For me their right sidebar completely obscures the article. Some clever JavaScript there.
Koki on 1/4/2011 at 10:46
Checked just for you guys, everything is fine, it opens the article and nothing obscures anything. You suck at the Internet.
Shadowcat on 1/4/2011 at 11:28
Given the reported evidence, I theorise that they are using CSS to hide the right-hand side, and javascript to hide the left, in order to really maximise the annoyance when you finally get to the writing and discover that it's crap :)

If you're having it open - allowing player choice - and it is indeed true that pursuing a heterosexual relationship is difficult whilst pursuing a homosexual one is so easy that you might just fall into it that's just dumb.
If you "just fall into" a homosexual relationship by pursuing it, you're, well, probably at least bi. Which brings me to...

And if a homophobic player is doing that and then complaining about the outcome, I would be inclined to point the dumb stick rather more in the direction of the player than the game.
Homophobes tend to be gay. This is a guy who, when presented with the possibility of a homosexual relationship, just can't help himself from clicking on it. He's blaming his own compulsion on the game, like an alcoholic blaming a restaurant because beer is on the beverage menu. These are the same people who constantly talk about resisting the "temptations" of gay sex. Heterosexual men are not tempted by gay sex.

Homophobes tend to be gay.
And racists tend to be black?
Nonsense.

Probably depends on what we mean by homophobes? Everyone opposed to homosexuality? Or people with particular kinds of strong personal reaction to it? I mean I don't buy that all of the former set are gay folks in denial.
