So yeah, I'm back.
Awkward silence proceeded by a stray dog whining somewhere in the distance, which is then proceeded by the shuffled trembling of a diseased ratbeast's fore-paw (or were they apebeasts, did we ever come to a conclusion on that?)
How are all ya taffers? It's been a while. Most of you probably don't know me and the other half have probably done their darnedest to forget me (my those degenerative memory pills do wonders, eh?). I figured I'd just stop by for a quick hello and also apologize for all those Happy Birthday threads you wonderful, caring people made for me that I never posted on (I know the ice cream has melted by now, but that cake is still edible, right? Or was it really just a lie?)
Thor02 looked me up on IM and sent me a few chats updating me on the haps back at the good ol Taffer's HQ. It sounds like there's been some great Thief FMs lately and as much as I've tried resisting, I'll probably just give in to the temptation and play through them.
So how are all you folks doing? Anything particularly new going on that won't take a small tome to tell me about?

Nice to see you back Sharga. For those who don't know, 'Sharga is the author of mansion of chaos and swamped. Two old school gems...one with lots of fog.
Mate stick around for the next 12-24 hours. An old chum is about to go public with another mission. You won't want to miss it.

Welcome back! Yes, the TDP/Gold Apebeasts were really monkey beasts, and officially called Apebeasts in all the game files and credits (except a couple of "monkey" gamefiles). TDS has the official Rat Beasts.:thumb:
The only new thing going on (besides fantastic FMs pushing the limits beyond imagining, including CoSaS and a Hammerite Imperium mission, at long last,, and some FMs to be released tomorrow that will blow minds), is the announcement of the official production of
Thief 4.

Albert-Thanks for the welcome. You've no relation to the similarly named prince I take it? (you probably get that all the time) because if you did, you'd definitely have some authority under your belt. :D
SlyFoxx-Thanks! Ooh, a new mission? :wot::eek::wot: That is good news, looks like I picked a good time to come back.
jtr7- I figured as much, and was never happy with the final decision, and had hoped that someone would turn the tables with a violent revolution concerning that whole debate. I mean, have you ever seen apes/monkeys with long tails like that? And they make those...rat like noises. Admittedly, they cleared things up well enough by Thief2. Anyhow, let bygones be bygones, that's what old Grandpa Ratbeast used to say.
Oh yes, I have heard about Thief4 (Happy happy, joy joy!) and some great campaigns that are out, probably two of the main reasons why I'm back. Though of course I missed you all as well.
Komag- Ahh yes, and what fond carefree days those were. I'm happy to see that your site still stands as a bastion of hope to the world of the benevolent days of yore. And from what I can tell, it still looks the same as I remember it. Sounds like you've been just as busy as ever contributing to the overall awesomeness that is the Thief universe. I always appreciate your work man.

I swear, I need to start playing the older fms right now. Whenever I get the chance, I'm gonna set up an old computer to play thief 2 in all it's glory.
