Hey, how's this...
My son is 13, he plays multi player deus ex lots. He played tonight on his own against four or five people, kicked their arses, and they all started swearing at him and trying to get the host to ban him!
Also, in another game tonight, the host accidentally killed him, (they were the only two people in the room!) so he killed the host 'back'. BANNED!
Man, there's some lame people out there!

True. Things like that happen TOO often in mp.

It is unfortunate that this sort of thing seems to happen a lot in DXMP. Spawn-killing, team killing, imposters, and unfair banning. It's such a mess, it's why I don't play it. Eventually the community should stabilize and DXMP will be something worth being a part of.
Which server did this happen on? If you don't want to risk a flame war by posting the info publicly, email it to me and I may be able to tell you who to talk to...then again, maybe not, depending on which server it was.
No offense to your son, but it is possible he was team killing in the first scenario, without intending to do so (if he wants to kill everyone, he should be sure not to be in a team deathmatch game.) Be aware that in the latest version (including the GOTY version) there is a BUG!!!! which causes people to respawn IN THE WRONG UNIFORMS. So, always believe your red/green reticule (crosshairs) - not the appearance of the enemy uniform - that "enemy" might really be a team mate.
If your crosshairs are red, though - fire away!

Hi TechImmortal, I don't know the server.
But I do know he wasn't team killing, it was five against one and they just couldn't beat him. He was (first to 40) 36 to 5 up when I took him off cos of the abuse he was getting, and he was mad at me. <IMG SRC="shake.gif" border="0">

Oh, I understand completely. The language is appalling sometimes. Someone really needs to remind these people that under-18 people do play. I shall make a post about this on ISBB, don't know if anyone will listen to me, but I'll do my part.
Sorry that had to happen. It must have been upsetting for both of you :(
