Bafford's bedroom is at
the end of the hallway underground. If you go into the royal corridor around to the dining area, you will see a portculis, the guard's hallway, and then another portculis. The bedroom and more is past the second portculis.
As far as the comment about how you got into the castle, well that was an oversight on my part. The pirate heard you outside and went out to investigate, and then gave up.

Thank you, neighbor. What a dunderhead I am. I didn't open that portculis to keep the guard from coming in after me while I looked around and then forgot about it. Love your ghost!!!! :thumb:

Excellent mission john. And castle is amazing.
Playing for 6 hours now, finished all but last objective, and now searching for last 450 of loot. Hopefully by 10th hour I'll find that as well.
Btw, people should be careful with their rings, always lost them. ;)

Thanks John- Found that switch last night FINALLY by accident and was able to continue on and finish the level. Time for my rave before "Six Feet Under" comes on-
BEST MISSION OF THE YEAR SO FAR! Except for the 48 hour period where I was stuck trying to get into the Hall this was a non-stop funfest! The 'travellin' ghost' and the secret of why that dude was dead in the moat in a sitting position were highlights that make the mission memorable long after play is done.
I especially enjoyed accidentally frobbing things while looking for loot and then trying to figure out what I did. Plenty of notes give the info needed on what to do next also. Once entering the Royal Corridors it seemed like the mission suddenly kicked into overdrive and there was so much to do and see. Absolutely fantastic architecture also!
Have to go...I hear the theme music of my show starting..BTW, missed over 1000 loot...ugh... but got 8 out of 10 secrets. Final time 5 hours and 36 minutes.
****1/2 out of 5 stars for me. Thank you for the mission John! :D

john, in mood perhaps to give hints, spoilers for hard to find loot?
Btw, in treasure room, floor goes down just for one 'level'?

That's my verdict!
Been in BJ heaven for 5 h, 30 m, and 36 s.
Missed some loot, gone ghost hunting, switch hunting and hit the bottom of the pit 3 times to finaly end up in a hole. :)
Tip about hard to find loot (I found this by "mistake"):
In Baffords bathroom, on top of pillar whith shower handels.
Thank you Unseen, that was huge part of missing loot. Now just 100g more.

Just finished this fab mission and plan to play it again, this time on Expert. I really loved the part with the poor chap taking a dump in more ways than one.
Also this mission is a true KO-Party which I love. I like castle missions a lot and this FM is truely one of the best. Thanks.

So far I got 7/10 secrets and 4752 in loot on Expert. A damn good FM!! I've followed all the clues in the above posts and can't seem to get the following;
1- Burrick recipe book; is it near the burrick pit with all those spiders ??
2- A button to be pressed near the 2nd floor bar to extend/position that
bridge.
I already frobbed that gold wine bottle in the corner of the bar to get the
extra loot as the face/head of the burrick slides over. Am I in the general
area???
