No it was a joke, I'm happily knowing that bioware has no rights to baldurs gate.

Anyone know if this is likely to be a FPS?

As long as there is in-game advertising, it could be a winner. QTE's would be nice also.

There's also only three quests in the game, but that's only because it's fully voice acted, yay!

Is that with or without the bow upgrade?

So apparently the present release is a disaster... even though it was delayed for ~2.5 months.
Conclusion: Stick to the GOG version + unofficial patches + usability mods and/or wait several months until EE has been patched into a much better state.
Quote:
* Its buggy as fuck
* laggy
* It crashes
* It freezes
* no graphics options (it ALWAYS runs at the desktop resolution and will scale the in game graphics from there.)
* There is broken scripting and triggers (I've seen combatants not engage, Gorion freeze, Kobolds stop combat, and other issues.)
* UI is not scalable
* has actually introduced mutiple new bugs including some wonderful CTD's
* about 20% of users (according to the forums) cant even get it to run, other are dealing with constant crashes
* It doesnt work with intergrated intel gfx
* The mouse pointer vanishes and requires you to alt tab in and out to recover it
* is basically inferior (except for the zoom function) than a modded version of the original.
* Its removed (admittedly minor) cinematics and replaced them with low grade 2D motion comics
* Other movies have been cut altogether
Quote:
Ok here are some features it DOESNT have
* Frame rate. Locked at 30. Remember the animation speed is locked to the frame rate, as is the AI. Not that it maintains that rate due to coding/optimisation issues with the engine "enhancements". (The frames is an important factor as it dictates the actual play speed of the game and how the AI works)
* Font size cant be changed so reading it on 1080p (UI autoacaling) can be a bitch, it will be a nightmare on higher resolutions
* UI scale (it scaled to the desktop resolution but no way to change it yourself)
* Pathfinding is also locked, and is set VERY low by default (fully zoomed out you cant click too from PC before it gets confused)
* The pathfinding is broken not just lacking options. The pathfinding in the original is better and actually works
* Zoom resets in every location to you're constantly adjust for it. Not a huge issue, but being able to select a default should be a no brainer
* In windowed mode there doesnt seem to be a way to constrain the mouse to the window.
