As long as videos of you and that moral high horse don't show up on the internet.

The combat may not seem to have that much depth, but it's more about the combo strings and the multiplier than having a wide variety of moves. The loons on the official forums have managed crazy XP totals by maximising the combo possibilities. There is also quite a bit of room for experimentation, especially when it comes to predator mode. I like hanging goons up on the gargoyles,

playing around was nice but got boring quick as well. I just generally find games where you hit 1 button and then have to watch lenghty animations boring (like AssassinsCreed). Nothing I do, no input from me seems to translate directly onto Batman/theAvatar and therefore I loose much of my immersion. Which in turn makes all the nice visuals and atmosphere unnecessary since they can't make a gameworld better I don't have any connection with. The more games come out and the better they look the LESS you can do in them. They all talk about worlds they create but instead they just project a 2d background onto some modells, creating worlds/characters is much more than this. but I got off-topic....this was certainly not the aim for BatmanAA and therefore it's not the Batman game I wished would happen some time. Good enough for a bargain buy it is, nonetheless. The multiplier/xp thing is just stupid imo. it's an artificial e-penis to hold on since you aint got nothing to do in combat. this has a place in SF4 or other fighting games....but Batman single player .. story

Finally got around to playing the demo for this. Pretty much a must-buy for me at this point.

And the reviews up, so far, seem to be loving it.
Yay Bats!

yeah, seems to be a nobrainer, I look forward to playing it despite my reservations. btw, another gadget-ridden game that has me surprised is the splendid mini ninjas. play the demo, this game is awesome and filled with different gameelements that I like: weapons, gadgets, magic, mixing potions, a little xp-system and 5 playable characters with different abilities.

In Canada you can pick it up for $38 for a limited time.

Holy shit, I -am- the Batman...
This game is aces!
No, not perfect for all you nay-sayers and nit-pickers, but it's still a HUGE mess of fun!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
