who cares about clipping. if they got a nice punch-em-down game with gadgets and a nice collection of enemy AI: I'm IN.

I don't care. I just think it odd that the PC version should have it but the XBox not.
mothra on 1/9/2009 at 14:36
different builds ?
maybe the pc version just aint done yet and the xbox demo was a slice of the actual game as it has been released just now for XBOX. PC is still being worked on, demo is a slice of an dev build....... ??? maybe....

cant wait to get this; damn Wolverine for taking so much longer to finish! - who does the voice of Batman?

Kevin Conroy from the 90s animated series (my personal favorite Batman).
I was absolutely addicted to the game for the three days that it took for me to play through the story (didn't get 100% and didn't do a single challenge, mind you). That is to say, I pretty much played non-stop 'til 3am every day. Stopped playing Shadow Complex completely once I grabbed Arkham, and I'm having difficulty going back.
I do have a few small issues with it:
- Gee wiz, I wish it were longer (as opposed to most "short games" these days, where I can't wait for them to end).
- Without giving away any details, I felt the last battle was too short and a bit easy -- especially considering you fight another villain just minutes before, and that one puts up a much better fight. Makes this game's king fish seem like a bit of a push-over.
Yup, that's it. So glad I bought this one. I'd love to see some Fallout 3-style DLC, centering around villains that didn't make an appearance in the main game.

You know, mothra actually kind of has a point here. I downloaded the demo last night and found it to be a big middle finger to the PC user. I'm not saying it isn't incredible when played with a PS3 controller while reclining on a couch--I'll never know--but as a PC game I found it borderline unplayable.
God fucking damn. Do you like playing anything besides Sims these days? No? The industry has moved on from 1999, maybe you should adapt or quit gaming.

If state of the art PC gaming is nothing but shitty ports featuring clumsy camera positioning, awkward keybinds, and targeting systems thrown in to cover the fact that console third person action games lack anything resembling precise control, then you may be right.
Hate on the Sims all you want, but at least it's a series
designed for and played on a PC first and foremost. Maybe I'm just burnt out from mediocre ports of Ghostbusters and Prototype, or maybe it's just the amazingly tight controls Halflife 2 Episode Two possessed, but either way I'm done paying money for ports that aren't sufficiently optimized for the strengths of the system being ported to.
The developers behind Arkham Asylum were kind enough to release a demo, so good on them. I played it, grew tired of the implementation, and saved myself $50. And then--get this--I posted my opinion fairly respectfully on the internet.
WHY DON'T YOU JUST FUCKING GO PLAY THE SIMS STITCH
And that's exactly what I did

Or you could've just bought the 360 version instead of whining about how the gaming industry doesn't care about PC gamers.
Stitch on 2/9/2009 at 21:07
Yeah, three things:
1) Why would I buy a console to play a Batman game?
2) I never engaged in a rant against the game industry. The game industry can do whatever the hell they want, I'm just not going to buy mediocre ports.
3) Why so serious?
I don't really see what's so controversial about this. I played the demo, I disliked, I posted.
