2. Saves aren't stored online in a cloud or some such rubbish, they're on usually saved on your system partition/HDD to the usual places, normally My Documents or Shared Documents... ya know, like most other games released in the last several few years.
Transferring saves is only matter of going into the file explorer, then copying and pasting... like almost every other game.
One problem with that is that every programmer has his opinion on savegame locations, there is no such thing as a "usual place", I got savegame folders virtually all over the Documents and Settings area, it is a royal pain in the ass to find what I'm looking for. If GfWL ends up maturing into something totally awesome, one thing I'd want it to do is forcing a certain standard on where savegames and settings are kept in the D&S/Users area. That would be much cleaner and easier to navigate and maintain than the current chaos that grows messier by each game install.

This is quite funny, apparently the Steam release has a metric fuckton of DRM attached to it.
1. Steamworks obviously.
2. SecuROM - you can only activate it four times per month.
3. GfWL (in what form, we don't know at the moment. MS nor the publisher ever disclose, but it varies from title to title.)
The retail version only has a disc check reportedly (and GfWL obviously).

Anyway, I should have my PC back tomorrow, fixed and with a new Corsair 750W PSU installed. I look forward to chucking in my old 9800GT as a dedicated PPU, specifically for this title.

Speechless for once.
Oh, and gj on getting the PC back. Enjoy that dedicated PPU, it sounds nice!

Cheers. It turns out that the G.Skill DDR2-1000 RAM modules (2x2GB) that I had installed were incompatible with my motherboard (Asus P5Q Pro). Since G.Skill have a life time warranty the technician swapped incompatible ones for some newer (and faster) modules - 2x2GB DDR2-1066.
TBH, I had known there were problems between my RAM and mobo for awhile, but it never seriously affected the operation so I ignored it.
1. After I first installed them, Memtest64+ would bring up an error, so I had the modules RMA'd. But both the the shop that I bought them from and the local G.Skill supplier didn't find any problems with them after several Memtests, so I couldn't get a replacement and they were sent back to me.
2. The computer would never wake up from stand by when they when the multiplier was set to 1000MHz, so I just stopped using sleep mode.
I suppose that it was a ticking time bomb. After almost a year of use with those modules, my PC just refused to POST.

More game impressions, plz.
I love it when other people talk about games I like (specially if it's positive feedback, but hey, we can take constructive criticism too).
:)

Just completed the game, then the Riddler's challenge. The stealth portion is still my favourite, Inverted Takedowns never gets old. I didn't like the combat at first, because I suck at it, but after playing the challenges a few times, I've gotten good enough that chaining combos comes naturally and I find that it's deeply satisfying. All in all, great game. I want a sequel.

Or how about a spin-off where you play the asylum janitor in a race against time to replace all of the blown light bulbs which lace every vent shaft?

my feedback would not be positive. I found the brawling the least interesting part of the game, being totally on automode. Most of the fights on hard can be won WITHOUT using any evades and counters, especially on the PC where turning speed for your view is so fast I constantly switched between enemies (just make sure they are apart and not all bunched up in a crowd) and landed about 34x criticals in big fights without loosing my "flow".
also the brawling is the only way to get the most XP out of the game in story mode for all the cool gadgets, so it practically enforces/encourages you to play Batman contrary to its characters well-known and established moral of avoiding/not killing. It encouraged you to play it as StreetFighter4 with kiddie-controls.
apart from that I enjoyed the world, gadgets, sneaking and overall presentation. reuse of same rooms was boring but yeah, no big deal.
challenge rooms are a nice add-on but making it exclusive DLC or maybe even pay-for later is ridiculous. Hey, look: NOW WE SELL YOU THE TUTORIAL as DLC/exclusives
