Sounds like I'll check this out when I get back to the states and some sort of gaming system.
Of course, this entire thread has left me more confused as to whether I want the 360 or PC version, and whether or not I use a gamepad should I get the PC version.

Oh yeah... just wanna add that this game has one of the best use of force-feedback ever. I especially love the hacking minigame. I think it may actually be possible to do it without looking at the screen and just rely on the controller's vibration.

price-, visual- and control-wise the PC beats all other platforms with ease.
if you need force-feedback because it IMMERSES you into the world of batman where using a cryptographic sequencer makes your hand SHAKE AND TREMBLE (ooooooh, the holy pressure, Batman) then you should get a controller. if you wanna spend more money for the same game with less resolution, graphic fidelity and the lack of input device options you should get the console version.
see, easy decision.
for reference: i have an c2d with an nvidia8800gts and 4gb ram on win-xp sp3 and I could run the game (with medium physx) on 1680x1050 with everything turned to high (except AA) with a very decent framerate. one of the better u3 engine ports.

Thief DS was like that. I have both, PC and Xbox, versions and the vibration really adds to the enjoyment of lockpicking. If someone has only played the PC ver. they have truly missd out. I have picked several of the tougher locks without even loking at the screen, just feeling it.

Just got through playing the 360 demo.
Was about to dismiss it after the initial bout of fisticuffs, but it's undeniably a very shiny thing with a bit more to offer.
Might wait until it's come down in price, though.

Word. Thats my thinking exactly, I'm thoroughly enjoying GoW2 at the moment and dont want my attention dragged away from that. Plus the next game I grab is going to be none other than...
BRUTAL LEGEND.I'm quite happy to pay full price for that badboy based on what I've seen.
There are so many great games out in the next few months leading up to Christmas I havent been this excited about my gaming for a long time.
Assassins Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2 to mention but two...not to mention Forza 3 which has me interested in driving games past Burnout Revenge.
Truly my xbox is starting to pay for itself :thumb:

Yeah, fuck him. I plan on buying the game second hand so that Double Fine doesn't see a single cent from me.

I just played the pc demo with all graphic settings as high as they will go for directx 9, no problems what so ever but the 30 quid price tag is a bit steep, so am going to wait a bit for the price to drop and some patches to fix bugs that might be in the full game. I noticed on the game menu it mentions downloadable content, what be that.
