Hmm, that's bizarre. I played the 360 version and I never once had a problem with the camera. In fact, I don't even remember what the camera control was because not once did it bother me.
I'm in the same boat. I can't really comment on how the 360's camera works because I never had any problems. I would have assumed that the PS3 would have been similar, but it sounds like the PS3 camera hates the player.

So camera controls are shit on PS3 and player controls are shit on PC.
Sounds like an all round deal breaker!
Will try demos though, ty.

I couldn't spot any problems with the camera on the PS3. Nothing I would describe as shit anyways. Like the 360 owners on here, I didn't notice it.

The Challenge maps are alot of fun. Its been a long time since I finished a game and then didn't eject the disk and move onto something.
I enjoy the stealth maps much more though and looking at the leader boards, i'm left to wonder - there are some fucking demons out there if they're managing to do the maps in faster times than me when I already thought i was pretty fast!
Also for the record, incase didn't know - heavy armour batman > normal armour batman, but does it have an impact on my speed?

I've re-tried the demos and I know what it is that bugs me about the PS3 version.
You cannot control the camera whilst fighting because you use your right thumb for the attack buttons OR the right analogue stick.
With the PC version you control the camera AND the attacks with the mouse so I can fight and direct the camera at the same time. I prefer this control because without me using the mouse, in the PS3 version, the camera moves how it "thinks" it should during combat.
I hope that's cleared it up for people planning to buy the game.

Despite my recent bitching, I started playing the PC Version today (rented, for now- can't afford yet). My complaint about the inability to set up an older gamepad remains (tried two 'pads, both had the movement inverted), but at least the standard kb/m layout is adequate.
I didn't play much (up the point you get to the Batmobile), but... maybe it's just the hype that spoiled me or that I'm just far, far too early in the game. I can't see it setting my world on fire, though. It's truly fun and well-polished, but that's all.

Search for "XBox360 controller emulator" to fix the controller problem. I used it with my RumblePad2 and it works great.

You likely won't change your mind on this, I got about half-way in and this is what I thought as well. It's a very fun and engaging game, but I wouldn't consider it phenomenal by any means.

I tried it, but the game kept crashing on me-- bloody Vista. Eh, what the hell; I've got used to the keyboard by now. Regardless, thanks for the tip.
