Even on normal, that feeling only lasts so far into the game.
If you aren't playing on expert, I'd recommend it because it removes the handy little "block now" indicator and thus makes everything more challenging.

the game IS not really hard on hard, thugs don't get quicker, just do more damage. bossfights are tedious or typical "learn the pattern". spam evade and all titan fights are a cake. the difficulty comes because you just wanna do instant takedowns all the time and get greedy, that's where you take damage. but freeflow is pretty nice. try "crash the party" on hard. that's a good fight.

Playing it on Normal and happy with it for now, I hate the frustration that can set in with brawl-fighting games if it feels like the enemies are super-powered - I don't mind feeling super-powered in this game as it presents some other challenges. I'm playing for fun, after all.
I called it quits after kicking Bain's ass and having overcome the Scarecrow, the end-levelish big boss fights are a bit shit but the scarecrow segment was pretty cool.

Heh, I was actually considering replaying the game on expert, but the lack of the block indicator will make the Harley fight tedious.
Especially those batton-wielding motherfuckers.

In honesty I found the final third of the game highly tedious. I'm really not a fan of the whole concept of ramping up difficulty by giving you the same enemies, BUT LOTS MORE. What should be the challenging section of a game turns into a complete grind.

Playing Batman is awesome, but the boss battles are pretty dire exercises in rinse and repeat gameplay. To quote myself off another forum: they're all virtually the same, and the ones that aren't are either underwhelming or simply tedious.
The rest of the game, though? Awesome, solid fun. :thumb:

Just got the game, beat it in 3 days, finishing off all the Riddler challanges and all. Fucking rad game, the only flaw that comes to mind is oh god the boss battles, the final Joker fight was super lackluster.

Agreed about the boss battles. They should have been less cookie-cutter more stealth-ish puzzle based.
Otherwise my only real complaint about the game was that it ended.

Dumb question perhaps: how do I blow up those sections of demolishable wall that are high up without any obvious way to reach them with the explosive goo?

Via an item you get later on.
