The game does a fairly good job of keeping it fresh in that almost every area you are forced to re-visit to complete the core of the game is going to be significantly different each time around. It also doesn't take that long to get from area to area. Actually tracking down all of the extra stuff takes serious commitment though.

If you mean achievements, then yeah. And that's the only thing you get from doing 100% of the Riddler challenges.

Collecting Riddler challenges also nets you a lot more XP, which in turn allows you to upgrade your abilities at a much faster rate, making it easy to max out everything.

Yep. You can only go one way and the areas are designed specifically for either combat or stealth.
But it offers enough a variety on how you'll take down enemies in either segment, so I'd say it's a pretty good balance.

well, it isn't hard to imagine what the outcome is, afaik it was already mentioned somewhere here and I didn't describe what actually happens, besides, not many ppl have the passion to do all puzzles therefore the reward the devs built in is minimal.
