Ivy proved a pain in the ass when I played her with the kb/m combo. With the gamepad she was a piece of cake. It's an easy fight, but requires you on your toes all the time. A lot of jumping around and rolling/evading.
Just ignore her goons as much as possible and wait for the moment she opens her vagina-plant-head (real subtle, btw, Rocksteady).
As somebody mentioned, you can keep tapping the quick batarang even when she's shielded, but I personally don't think it's worth it. Especially with the kb/m setting, it's incredibly tiring to your hand for only a little bit of damage.

Like the noises she makes when the fight first starts weren't unsubtle enough?

^ Ha, good point, I'd forgotten about that.

Fuck me the Ivy boss fight is annoying.
I was like YESSSSS I've won when it started all over again. :(

At least you can start from the midpoint if you die.
Scots Taffer on 4/1/2010 at 23:26
lol I didn't know that and quit in annoyance at them rebooting the boss fight

Well now you get to do the whole first part all over again!
The second part is suprisingly LESS irritating because the game lets off with the grotesquely unfair vines a bit to give you room to fight the slave mooks.

I died a few times until I restrained myself to using only evade+quick batarang. no fighting the guards at all. only evade + batarang and the fight is over before you know it.

It's a good idea to knock down slave mooks when you have time, though, and when they get caught by the vines you can use that to your advantage when the vines retract.
Kicking them off the ledge is also helpful. And funny.
