It's extremely well polished. The melee brawling is simple and intuitive. The stealth mechanics obvious are decent and completely obvious (remember, it's aimed at console audiences).
I did run into a forced stealth sequence where you have to defeat a room full of goons with assault rifles. Batman is useless against guns so he has to rely on stealth takedowns, knocking them off one by one.
It appears that they've taken inspiration from that silly "magical sonar vision" from The Dark Knight film and turned into a entire mechanic here called Detective Vision (well they don't use sonar like in the film, but something that resembles x-rays). It highlights the status of enemies (i.e. their armaments, state of conciousness), environmental features that can be used to your advantage like breakable glass, air duct grates, etc.
As a feature of a game, it totally makes sense. Such a thing is obviously going to look stupid in a serious film like TDK.

I only played with a 360 pad, I'll have to replay the demo to get impressions of the kb+m controls.

They didn't bring back Tara Strong, the most consistent voice actress of Batgirl in the DCAU shows, to voice Oracle.
And yes, they're using Oracle to fill the modern console game cliche of "female (

Played the demo, and it's surprisingly good. The mix of close combat and sneaking feels very good, the art and graphics are very polished. So if the whole thing has a decent story, then I'm gonna buy it.

At least the role suits, to be fair.
