Some of it, yes, but that's only recently, and also Garth Ennis. The comic immediately went back to being bad when he left after the Valley Forge arc.
Back in the late 80s when Giffen's JLI run was ongoing, my argument still holds up.
Marvel comics occasionally have good runs, usually when someone competent like Ennis is involved. But for the most part they're really, really bad. The problem is they don't know how to keep a good thing going. Like they'll have a really good creative team putting out great work, for example the Pak and Pagulayan run on Incredible Hulk, and then Marvel tosses it, fucks the writers over and sweeps the characters into the big stupid crossover events.
Another example: Mark Waid's late 90s Captain America run. Then Rob Liefeld got his hands on it.

Oh! That Rob Liefeld!

Well it didn't go
bad after Ennis finished, but yeah, it was nowhere near as good, and the more recent Punisher Max books ending with "Homeless", while being pretty thought provoking, suffer somewhat thanks to Steve Dillon's artwork. Don't get me wrong, Dillon's a great comic book artist with a unique style, but I find it just doesn't suit Punisher Max.
The artwork in the first Punisher Max TPB, "In The Beginning", pencilled by Lewis Larosa and inked by Tom Palmer?
That's the definitive Punisher for me. Frank looks old, angry, BIG and nasty.
Saying that though, there's fantastic artwork throughout the Ennis run, but that panel where Frank's being interrogated just sticks in my mind.
Mind you, I'm a bit biased, as Ennis' Punisher Max is probably my favourite set of TPBs in the last 20 years, not that I've read many in that time.

Has anyone played the DLC? I was thinking about getting the Harley Quinn DLC(about 9 euros for XBox 360), but just now I spotted (
http://getloadedgo.com/) the GOTY PC edition (plus another game) for 12 Euros. I'd rather have it on the XBox but this is quite a tempting offer. Is the Robin/Nightwing DLC any good? Do you get to play as them in the story or is it just challenge rooms?

Robin/Nightwing DLC is challenge rooms only. They're also not as good as batman in those challenge rooms, because they don't have the complete move set. Skip it.

You know what? I think I will. I never liked the challenge rooms in the first place. I'll just get the Harley DLC for the XBox.

Eh, I dunno, it's fun to play as Tim and Dick for a while. Would love to see them show up more as interlude characters like Catwoman.

You can't use bonus skins in singleplayer can you? For the life of me I can't remember. You definitely get to play as Robin in the HQ DLC anyway, regardless of whether you have the Robin or Nightwing addons
The best part of the GOTY addon are the animated series and 70's skins for Batman anyway.

You can use bonus skins in the campaign in New Game+ mode. I'm fairly sure there's also a cheat code to let you use them the first time through. Doesn't let you use them right away because the default skin has the degrade over time thing, while the others don't.
