Gee, that's a surprise. Someone other than the creator of a "franchise" makes a sequel/prequel/addon/whatever and it's totally uninspired garbage. That never happens.
and yes I'm fully aware that BioShock 2 and most of Obsidian's games don't fit that description, those are the exceptions that basically prove the rule though
It's not awful, the game does have its moments. For those who like tough boss battles this game will certainly provide, some of them are a real pain in the rear. And it could be said that even Rocksteady made something quite uninspiring with that DLC for AC on their own. I find the main map to be far too big in Origins, which leaves a lot of empty space. Jokers voice-acting is nowhere near as good as what Hamill provided. Often it feels like an inferior fan made homage to the originals, so I'm glad I didn't pay more than 18 euro for it.
For those who wish to play this prequel here is an advice. The game needs a patch or two, it's not exactly superbly polished. There are people who write that they cannot continue with their games because something doesn't work.

So the DLC season pass doesn't give you the Deathstroke nor Black Mask challenge map packs. Bleh, I'm definitely gonna wait until the compilation version is out in ~6 months time (which I should've done for AC actually. WB gave me a free copy of AC GotY, so that's moot anyway). I feel no urgency in playing a poorly QA'd copypasta of the previous game.

Firstly the Deathstroke DLC is free with every PC copy it seems, no catch. That's neat.
Cold, Cold Heart is looking pretty cool (pun intended!). Glad that I picked the season pass in the 75% off Steam sale a couple of weeks ago.
Happy that they're using the DCAU Dini/Timm-verse origin for Mr. Freeze rather than the lame nu52 one that I read about.

I hate the new origin, so I'm glad that they're using the old one.
